Watcha Looking at??

Did i ever mentioned i like creating images with mother nature? Yes its another hobby of mine. I remember the old days when i used to sneak away from lectures to the nearby Alexandra Hospital Butterfly Trail to shoot butterflies. Its not just about creating images but also time to get away from the buzz of the city and into the tranquil wilderness. Most of us would miss out the beauty of nature due to the pace of life here but look closer and you will find these beautiful creatures.

eye e city

Some of the other images i liked that came off that same roll on the last day of 06.

The other image that was published in the book, taken moments after i shot that couple by the road and also the last image from that roll of film. A new tunnel replaces what used to be stamford road library, the one which i have visited from young to borrow books to read.

My favourite place for steamboat, Tiong Bahru. The outlet served great bacon, thinly sliced and tender with bits of chewy fat. Mind you, this is coming out of the mouth of someone who hates fatty meat. I also loved the ambiance, eating by the roadside. The outlet ceased operations on 31st July.

Messages from friends flood our phones at the last moments of 2006.

HCM/SY/HK/MC

Took me two whole months just to edit my travel pictures and i am still not done with my London images. Figured one picture a place should do it.

HCM

Yes, this is Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. Not some church in Europe. What has it got to do with Vietnam? Nothing......i don't want to just post a picture of a whole road of bicycles but to show something which is not typical of our conception of a location and how it should look like.

SY
Sanya has changed so much since the last time i visited it 7 years ago. From a small fishing village where we had to disembark from the ship onto little boats just to get into town, it now has skyscrapers and a port to hold the Star Aquarius.

HK

Still as crowded as ever. The only interesting thing i found this time round in Hong Kong were the Xu Liu Shan (许留山) Mango Puddings and where all the camera shops are located. If only i could speak cantonese, i would have brought back a whole suitcase of camera gear.

MC

Oh i love the last leg of this journey most. Think i expanded the most film here. Its just so much more beautiful in Macau. The countryside, the old town and the casinos made it such a big contrast within a small city state.

Love is in the air....

One of the last images i shot on 31st December 2006 for Eye é City 2006. It is also one of my fave of 2006. An image which i could envision how it would turn out even though it was shot on film.

It really looks alot better in large print. Do visit the exhibition at National Library, it will be up till 31st August.

Busy Busy Busy

Busy with work, trying to settle down, still have tonnes of images to go through......

Just one from last week's wedding.

This was a stressful wedding cause his father is a reknown photojournalist, David Rubinger, whose works were recently exhibited at the Arts House.
