WPJA 2008 Q4 Contest

I had a pleasant surprise on Sunday when i opened my mailbox on Sunday. 3 of the images which i submitted for the WPJA quarter 4 contest were awarded rankings and most amazingly, Lincoln's door bargaining image came in first in the humor category.

This caps off a great year at WPJA contests with 2 first placings amongst the 7 ranked images for all contests of the year.

Here are the images.

WPJA 2008 Q4 Humor

I didn't manage to blog about Lincoln and Zhimin's wedding but they had one of the most happening door bargaining session i have ever shot with visually disgusting food tasting (for those who are going to pop by our office, you will get to see it) and even a fake bride (above). One of the judges mentioned wanting to see the after moment, well here's what happened.

WPJA 2008 Q4 Creative Portraits

Coming in 5th in creative portraits from Colin and Josephine's wedding. Colin was playing with the polaroid camera and even took a picture of me with it and i decided to take a quirky picture with the both of them using the polaroid.

WPJA 2008 Q4 Action

And finally, coming in 6th in the Action category is an image from Samuel and Yih Yin's wedding. I just love the reaction from the "audience" when Samuel kissed his bride.

Bumper Crop

I have been wanting to put up a post with more images from a single wedding so that blog readers can have a better idea of how i shoot a whole wedding. Eugene and Mabel tied the knot with a simple church ceremony and luncheon at the Regent and i thought it would be nice to share the images from that day.

(just to show me at work)

Indian Weddings

Have i ever mentioned how much i love shooting Indian Weddings? And it is amazing how many such weddings i get to shoot, i can easily count at least 10 since the last year. Well, its not amazing that the first wedding i shot when i turned full time was an Indian celebration.

Here are some images from Mu and Bel's marathon ceremony last month. (Yes i know i took a long time but good things take time :) )

Renew

I have been a bad blogger.....(or rather not a blogger)...

The last month was fill with shoots/renewing portfolio/designing albums......can't imagine i actually designed more than 10 albums in a month.

This post is to help kick start my blogging.

Some images from Wei Jiang and De Min's big day.

I am also experimenting with colour film these days so a couple of these images are shot on colour film. Can anyone tell the diff?
